You Belong in Birmingham’s wine tasting event had Crestwood Coffee Company packed to capacity Saturday night. Birmingham Jewish Federation Project Coordinator Caren Seligman said it was probably the most successful program since YBIB began in 2006. “Everyone seemed like they were enjoying it, and I think myself and the others working the event had just as much fun as the guests did,” added Crestwood Coffee owner Pye Parson. The idea developed from a conversation between Parson and You Belong member Brandon Benson. Benson said that he has heard more of his peers express an interest in returning to Birmingham. “Programs like ‘wine down’ show our young community that this is a great scene with amazing venues,” he added.
