In addition to sampling signature dishes, guests bid on many unique auction items graciously donated by area businesses, including dining experiences, vacation packages, and jewelry. All proceeds benefit the critical work of March of Dimes, whose mission is to help all babies be born healthy. “This event and its ongoing success is directly attributed to countless volunteers, participating chefs, area sponsorships and auction donors. I am proud to be a part of an event that brings together so many different groups for one commendable cause,” says Robert Young, COO of M.J. Harris Inc and 2009 Signature Chefs Event Chair. Funds raised by the Signature Chefs Auction totaled just over $45,000 and will support lifesaving research and educational programs aimed at giving every baby a healthy start.
