The Gala is the Rotaract Club of Birmingham’s annual celebration held every spring benefiting Ready 2 Read, Rotaract’s signature service project, which placed libraries in every second grade classroom in the city of Birmingham. The Gala has developed into one of Birmingham’s do-not-miss events! Gala 2009 was held at Ted’s Garage. More than 300 young professionals came out to help them celebrate. This year’s event was chaired by Wilson Long, and music was provided by Z and the Party Faktory.
