Mitchell’s Place Junior Council held its inaugural “A Night at the Oscars” Pre-Party on Saturday, February 21, 2009. It took place at Historic Woodrow Hall in downtown Birmingham from 6:00-10:00 p.m. and tickets were $30 per person. Guests arrived on a red carpet and enjoyed an evening of show-stopping music, food, fun and a big-ticket raffle. Money raised from the raffle and gala event helped to support Mitchell’s Place, a non-profit comprehensive treatment center in Birmingham that serves children and the families of children affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. Catering and beverages were provided by Daniel D’Armond with D’Armond Catering.
