The Birmingham Museum of Art held its annual gala on Saturday, April 30, 2011. This year the theme was “The Diamond Anniversary Ball” in celebration of the Museum’s 60th Anniversary.
The Ball serves as the Museum’s signature fundraising event, annually supporting the Museum’s educational mission and programs. The Museum Ball raised $325,000, the highest amount of all time and this year, a portion of the funds raised were donated to relief efforts in the wake of the devastating tornadoes that ravaged Alabama earlier last month.
After a dinner by Chris and Idie Hastings of Hot and Hot Fish Club guests enjoyed Red Diamond Café Brulot ,followed by dancing courtesy of the band, Party On The Moon.
