The 2nd annual Kick’n Chick’n Wing Fest hosted by the the Magic Moments Junior Board was held on Saturday October 9th in downtown Homewood on 29th Avenue between 18th and 19th Streets. The outdoor wing cook-off featured local restaurants, live music by Altamont, games for kids, local celebrity judges and, of course, live football games on big screen TVs. The football-inspired event for wing-lovers of all ages attracted over 3,000 people and raised over $30,000, triple the amount raised the first year. All proceeds benefited Magic Moments, an organization that makes dreams come true for Alabama children with life-threatening or life-altering medical conditions.
