The 12th Annual First Light Gala was held on May 1, 2010, at the Doubletree Hotel. Those in attendance enjoyed a silent auction, seated dinner and the presentation of the Honoree of the Year and Volunteer of the Year, followed by a live auction. With Christie King of C. King Benefits as the auctioneer. This was fast-paced, fun-packed evening – with plenty of opportunities to purchase artwork of prominent local and national artists, fine wine, and fantastic travel and vacation packages. This year’s gala will honored the First Presbyterian Church, where the shelter began in 1983 and operated for 17 years, and volunteer of the year Rosie Montgomery, for her 9 years of dedication to our guests. Rosie has conducted a Bible study class every week for 9 years!
