This year’s 18th annual Crawfest was held at the Birmingham Zoo where everyone enjoyed live music by Roadside Attraction, a silent auction, a raffle, all-you-can-eat authentic Cajun fare catered by Crazy Cajuns’ Boiling Pot and an open bar. Proceeds went to the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA). The CCA is a non-profit organization comprised of fifteen coastal state chapters spanning the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic seaboard. CCA’s strength is drawn from the tens of thousands of recreational saltwater anglers who make up its membership. CCA has been active in virtually every national fisheries debate since 1984 and has participated productively in state and federal fisheries management issues for longer than two decades.
