The 5th Annual Acoustic Soup, benefiting VSA Alabama, was held on Thursday, January 27, 2011. Supporters had the opportunity to enjoy a variety of delightful soups, breads and appetizers prepared by many of Birmingham’s most notable chefs and restaurants. Trendy WorkPlay provided an inviting atmosphere for this winter event hosted by the Junior Patrons of VSA Alabama and presented by Charter Business. The evening featured great music by The Big Tasties and the chance to take home a hand painted bowl created by a VSA Alabama artist. Guests had the opportunity to vote on their favorite soups while Martie Duncan of MartieKnowsParties.com and Tasia Malakasis of Belle Chevre served as official Soup Judges. “All proceeds benefit VSA Alabama to support arts programming for children and adults with disabilities and chronic illnesses across the state.”
