The year was the 2nd Annual SOAR Celebration benefiting AAAP. It was held at the Barking Kudu in the Lakeview District downtown. Event sponsors included: Superior Grill, Barking Kudu, HANDS LLC, Wellness Pharmacy, Pump & Process, UPS, Jeff Leonard Graphics, PoppySeed Paper, Hoover Florist, Dr. Baker Chambliss DMD, and Louise’s Cakes-N-Things. Door prizes were raffled off to participants as well as offering a silent auction. Various auction items were donated, some including a New Orleans weekend package, furniture from Summer Classics, and a necklace and pendant from Barton-Clay Jewelers. In addition, HANDS LLC (a behavioral therapy program), was recognized and included for their 5th anniversary of providing services to children with autism.
