The American Cancer Society hosted their largest single fundraiser of the year the 2011 Hope Gala. The 31st annual event was themed “Circo Della Speranza,” translated Circus of Hope is chaired by Lisa Smith Sharp. The lifesaving event was an opportunity to unite the community together for a great time while also contributing to the fight against cancer. The event was held at the Vestavia Country Club on August 20, 2011 and begin at 6pm with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by dinner and a life auction.
The money raised at the Hope Gala supports the American Cancer Society’s mission to create a world with less cancer and a world with more birthdays by helping people stay well, get well, find cures and fight back.
